Holiday Story Times @ Your Library

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will hold two holiday story times on Monday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 7 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children of all ages are welcome to come and visit with Santa. No registration is required. 
   The Arlington Branch Library will host a Christmas Story time on Thursday, December 1 at 11:15 a.m.  A special story time will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at 11:15 a.m. featuring Elf on the Shelf.   No registration is required.

2017 CommunityREAD Book - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library’s 2017 CommunityRead will be Stephen R. Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”

The YouthReads will be “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” and “The 7 Habits of Happy Kids” by Sean Covey. Sean Covey will visit Hancock County on March 16, 2017, during CommunityRead month for a presentation at 7 p.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.

SummerREAD Volunteens

The Findlay Hancock County Public library is looking for SummerREAD Volunteens ages 10-18 to help with the summer reading program.

The SummerREAD for 2016 will be held from June 1-July 30, with the theme of On your Mark, Get Set,…READ! Volunteens help register children for SummerREAD, record the number of books reported by readers, distribute weekly handouts, assist with programs, crafts and much more. Volunteers work 2 hours per week in the months of June and July.
