We have received reports during the last week that patrons are experiencing difficulties when using our Enhanced catalog with Internet Explorer. Reports have included the following:
1) Images for the carousel do not display on the Enhanced catalog webpage
2) Patrons cannot place holds on items, i.e. hold button is missing
3) Patrons cannot login to their accounts, i.e. login box does not display
4) Item details fail to display or simply displays a white page
The issues occur when compatibility view in Internet Explorer is enabled. The compatibility view is represented by a broken sheet of paper icon in the address bar at the top of the browser.
How to fix this problem?
Simply click the broken sheet of paper icon to toggle the setting on and off. If the broken sheet of paper icon is gray compatibility view is off. If the broken sheet of paper icon is blue compatibility view is on. To solve the problem, click the broken sheet of paper icon until it is gray.
