Author Nellie Branan will read her book, Fritzi Finds a Home, at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library on Tuesday, July 29 at 10:30 a.m. The same presentation will be at the Arlington Branch Library at 1:00 p.m. Nellie Branan’s story is based on a real dog who came to her home as a stray. Attend a self-defense class on Thursday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lindamood Room. Nancy Proctor, a fourth-degree black belt in karate and a self-defense consultant will teach participants how to determine their vulnerability. Learn how to be ready with a self-defense plan, and what the most utilized ploys and cons that are used by attackers. The program is open to adults and teens with registration required.
