Volunteer to be a Reading Camp Tutor!
What ages can volunteer to tutor?
Tutors should be age 16 or older.
What do tutors do?
Tutors will meet with small groups of K-2 students two hours a week for reading lessons and reading games.
Do tutors need experience?
No tutoring experience is needed. We will provide tutors with training before Reading Camp begins.
When and where is tutoring?
Tutors will meet with students from June 4 - July 26. Some tutoring groups will meet at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library, and other tutoring groups will meet at outreach locations in Hancock County.
How do I sign up to be volunteer tutor?
Fill out the Volunteer Application. You can pick one up at the library or email readingcamp@findlaylibrary.org. Please return the application to readingcamp@findlaylibrary.org or to the Children’s Desk.
When are applications due?
Applications are due by April 26, 2024.
