Library staff and volunteers will assist participants with genealogical research. Many resources will be available for research, including books, microfilm records, and genealogical computer databases. Children are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration is required by calling 419-422-1712 or by visiting the librarys reference desk. Participants should arrive before 5 p.m. and park in the parking lot (the underground parking garage closes at 5 p.m.) Participants may also bring an optional brown bag supper.
In honor of Family History Month, the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will hold a "genealogy for beginners" session on Tuesday, October 7 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Lindamood Room. Pumpkins are one of the widely grown vegetables that are incredibly rich in vital anti-oxidants and vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E. Pumpkin can be used in a variety of delicious recipes including: pies, pancakes, custards, soufflés, stuffing, and soups. Roasted pumpkin seeds can also be eaten as snacks.
