Find out how to make healthy snacks on September 18th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Serving healthy snacks is important to providing good nutrition, and supporting lifelong healthy eating habits. Karen McDougall, OSU Extension, will show participants how to prepare healthy, nutritious snacks that can improve your mood, boost your energy, and satisfy cravings. Registration is required.
The Ohio Consumer Protection of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office will present Senior Advocate Fraud Education (SAFE) on October 27 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Lindamood Room. SAFE educates caregivers, social workers, seniors, and their families about frauds and scams targeting older adults. 1.5 CPE credit hours are available to social workers. Library staff and volunteers will assist participants with genealogical research. Many resources will be available for research, including books, microfilm records, and genealogical computer databases. Children are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration is required. Participants should arrive before 5 p.m.
In honor of Family History Month, the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will hold a "genealogy for beginners" session on Tuesday, October 7 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Lindamood Room. Basic tips and advice for starting a genealogy project will be presented by library staff member Justin Crawfis. Children are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
