Seed Saving

Growing plants from seed that was saved from the previous year not only can save money, it also can extend the growing season and permit the gardener to be more selective in the varieties of plants they grow. The class will discuss the process for collecting and preparing seed for storage and what plants are best suited for seed saving. Many of our favorite varieties of plants are being dropped from the seed catalogs. To continue to grow old favorites, it might be wise to starting saving seeds.
